In its second year, exhibition space was incremented by 100% and, judging from the audience and general otaku presence, it seems Comic Con 2009 will have to grow even further. Besides visiting the majors, António Saraiva attentively prospected the authors’ corner, spotting new talent on the rise. António Saraiva attended the Bologna Children’s Book Fair for a round of meetings with same of our licensors and also to scout and identify emerging properties for the younger audience. With 4.701 participants from 66 countries, this is one of the largest of its kind and couldn’t be missed.

AS: “Bologna’s Fair is probably the best in terms of navigation: it’s big enough for you to find everybody in the publishing business, still there’s more signal than noise.”
